We were very excited to be a part of Gloria's Birthday celebration and the best thing; she didn't know what had been organised for her until she walked into the room. What a great surprise.!

Location: Private Home
Occasion: Gloria's 80th Birthday Celebration
Guest List: 30
Menu Style: High Tea

STYLING and the details...

Styling was inspired by the beauty and elegance of a traditional high tea. The room that opened up onto the gorgeous terrace was turned into the dining room where guests were able to enjoy the view out to the garden.

Tiffany chairs were selected for their feel of elegance and tea-lights in crystal votive reflected off the mirrored centrepieces. The colours were brought in through the assorted bone china, the dusty rose organza table runner and the blooms.

As guests were to be arriving around midday the menu selected reflected the service style that would provide an attentive and beautiful flow of a high tea menu. Guests spent time on the terrace enjoying the winter sun and the warmth of the fire pit and were later seated for tea.

A selection of music was compiled to reflect the mood; vintage jazz, French songs and some classical music to finish.Crochet linen for the cake table with wooden scrabble boards and letters to spell out β€œHappy Birthday Gloria” vintage silver teapots and crystal cut bud vases for the blooms, two, 3ft round rose pink balloons were placed either side of the cake; to reflect that it was a β€˜party’.

Tassels on the balloons were hand made out of a mix of fabrics including vintage linen and lace (again in keeping with the colour theme)
